[602] A very empty bar in the afternoon

I’ve been quite rubbish at updating over the last few months but in my defence, Sir, it’s been quite a busy time. I don’t often just sit at home in front of a computer these days (I do quite enough of that in my sad little box at work) so those old moments which I used to employ putting things together for this site don’t present themselves any longer. Still, today I’m making some time to write about a friend and what those people mean. Terrence has alluded to the meaning of his friends before but never quite detailed what that is, and I suspect our takes on it may be different, so…

Rich finished work at Newsquest today and is off back to the land of Tetleys and 15th Century war losers, Yorkshire, tomorrow. I’m not engulfed by grief over this, as a) I’m male and b) our paths read more.

“Patience is a virtue because it makes us better people. The definition of the word is to tolerate delay. This implies self control and forebodance of what we want when we want it. How many times have we jumped the gun and found out it would have been better to tolerate delay or had self control? What did we miss out on? Did we hurt someone because of lack of patience?
