The The are one of those bands that stick in memory because of their name, but you never seem to get round to listening to. In their case, with me it was because they’re not very prominent these days and it takes something to ignite your memory for you to look into them. Well, I was just fannying about on MySpace again and I came across someone’s profile with one of their songs on, This Is The Day. It’s given me the impetus to find some more of their stuff.

Today I am quite ill, probably due to the exertion of the past two weeks and my habit of waking up after parties in the mood for more drinking and following through on that desire. I’m not going to see Oversight tonight as a result, which I’m quite sad about because they sounded pretty 1337. But there’ll be another time, I’m sure. Staying here tonight also saves me £25 and gives me time to pack… the… rest of my bedroom, and then work round the other rooms emptying them. If I become more ill towards the end of the week, I do not want to get to Friday night having a shedload of packing to do while feeling like crap.
Two recent MySpace discoveries I have made are What’s Your Sound by the band everybody in Blackburn seems to be on first name terms with, Outsider, and Young Folks …read more.
